The North Fork Reform Synagogue is a close-knit community of local residents and second-home owners.  Without a permanent staff, our members build strong bonds as we work together to enrich our lives and keep our congregation vibrant.  There are many ways to become engaged with our community:  consider volunteering for any of our committees or special events.

Join or Start A Working Committee

Many committees help us move our synagogue forward through member engagement.  Join us to create new programs, tackle synagogue issues, and help with fundraising and membership drives.

The annual Foodie Tour has become the North Fork “Go to” September event, attracting local foodies and those from far and wide. It is also our major fundraising event of the year, so we need all hands on deck.

Sponsor an Oneg for Shabbat

Host Adult Ed

Our synagogue members host Adult Ed in their homes on the weekend of services.   Sessions are led by our Rabbi and it’s a great way to get to know other NFRS members and join in stimulating discussions.

We have many special services during the year for which we treasure member participation.  This is a great way to volunteer.

Several years ago, we included an online silent auction along with our in-person North Fork Foodie Tour.  This has become a significant contributor to the success of the Foodie Tour program.
