Check us out to learn more about how we provide a Reform Jewish community for full and part-time North Fork residents and visitors.  We strive to foster harmony, understanding, justice and cultural growth within the community at large, and to apply the principles of Reform Judaism to our values and conduct as individuals, family members and citizens of the society in which we live.

We offer quality religious, educational and cultural programs to enhance the lives of our members and the community.

Our Rabbi

Beginning in 2022, Rabbi Sheila Goboy joined us to lead Shabbat and special services, conduct our Adult Ed classes and support students in our Religious School.

Our Friday Shabbat Services

We hold Shabbat services on the first and third Fridays of the month, in the home we share with the Cutchogue Presbyterian Church, from September through June at 7:00 pm.  Following Friday night services, we have an Oneg Shabbat (refreshments) provided by our members.  All are welcome to the services and to partake in the refreshments.

During the summer, members of our congregation lead Shabbat services at Kenney’s Beach in Southold.   Bring a picnic and beach chairs and enjoy the sunset.

Throughout the year, we have special services celebrating Jewish Holidays, such as Tu B’Shvat, Purim, Sukkot and Passover.  We also observe International Women’s Day and Kristallnacht.

 Our High Holiday Services

NFRS does not charge for High Holiday Services which are open to all, although we do request that nonmembers register.  Donations to the synagogue are appreciated in order to defray the costs of the services and help the synagogue to continue to serve the community.

Our Religious Education

We are a “full service” congregation.  We offer religious education programs for our children leading to bar and bat mitzvah, and regular adult education with Torah study and Hebrew.  We also offer Hebrew classes for adults, conversion to Judaism tailored to individual needs, and life-cycle celebrations and commemorations.

North Fork Foodie Tour

In 2006, we created the annual Foodie Tour to showcase the finest of what the North Fork has to offer and to create an opportunity to learn how the food we eat and drink is cultivated, with participation from approximately 20 food and beverage producers.
