Henry Blair, who will celebrate his Bar Mitzvah at NFRS in January, was just celebrated in The Suffolk Times for making the second largest single donation to Mattituck High School’s food pantry. Henry raised $4,091 as part of his Bar Mitzvah project. According to Rafael Morais, the program director, “This is just a home run…To have a student want to do that, this is huge for us.” Congratulations to Henry! Read the entire article here.

Ellen Love, one of our NFRS Board Trustees, is featured in the December 2022 hardcopy edition of the northforker. The article, “made with LOVE, Baking challah bread with Southold’s Ellen Love”, talks about Ellen’s many years of baking challahs using a recipe from the mother of one of her daughter’s friends. Ten years ago, Ellen began to offer challah baking classes to NFRS members and also demonstrated her baking prowess in a webinar she held during our 2020 North Fork Foodie Tour.
