If you are looking to connect with other synagogue members in a casual, fun way and maybe even learn something while doing it, consider joining a club.  We have three active clubs. Check out “Upcoming Events” on the home page or our calendar to find out dates and time for club meetings.   Click on the boxes below to learn more.

Kay's Book Club

We call this Kay’s Book Club because it was Kay Freeman who started it in 2014.  We read books with Jewish themes and/or by Jewish authors. The club meets on Zoom every six weeks on Saturdays at 11 am.  We have a long list of books we want to read and always welcome new suggestions. Laurie Lauterbach is in charge.  Check out the list of books we’ve read here.

Flicks and Friends

We call our movie club Flicks and Friends because that’s what it is. It is like a book club, but with movies. We watch the movie and then meet at a member’s home to discuss, with one of our members leading the discussion.  We meet about every six weeks on Saturdays.   Interesting conversation, wine, cheese, and cookies included. We are taking a break for the summer. Will be back after the High Holidays.

Walk the Fork

Our club, Walk the Fork, is the brainchild of one of our members.  The first walk was in the picturesque Village of Quogue, followed by a picnic lunch on the Village Green.  For the next walk we gathered at the historic Jamesport Meeting House and we continue with other interesting locations on both the North and South Forks.  Water, hats and sunscreen are always recommended.
