Get Involved

The North Fork Reform Synagogue is a close-knit community of local residents and second-home owners. Without a permanent staff, our members build strong bonds as we work together to enrich our lives and keep our congregation vibrant. There are many ways to become engaged with our community: consider volunteering for any of our committees or special events.

Join or Start A Working Committee

Many committees help us move our synagogue forward through member engagement. Join us to create new programs, tackle synagogue issues, and help with fundraising and membership drives.

Help With the Foodie Tour

The annual Foodie Tour has become the North Fork “Go to” September event, attracting local foodies and those from far and wide. It is also our major fundraising event of the year, so we need all hands on deck.

Sponsor an Oneg for Shabbat

Following Friday night services, our members get together to schmooze in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Members volunteer to provide refreshments. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Participate in Special Services

We have many special services during the year for which we treasure member participation. This is a great way to volunteer.

Offer items for Silent Auctiion

Several years ago, we included an online silent auction along with our in-person North Fork Foodie Tour. This has become a significant contributor to the success of the Foodie Tour program.

Join Our Clubs

Attend one of our clubs: Kay’s Book Club, Flicks and Friends and Walk the Fork. If you have a suggestion for a book, topic, movie, or walking trail, share it with us. Join us for discussion and fun.
