Shoshana will share with us the history of her Jewish community in Uganda, the Abayudaya, as well as her own family story. She will focus on the diverse cultures and languages within her Jewish community and the intersection of Jewish and Ugandan traditions. Student Rabbi Shoshana will also address some of the challenges that the community faces to maintain its Jewish identity, education, and the evolving role of women. She will also comment on her experiences living outside of Uganda, Israel, and America.
