DSC 1761Welcome to the North Fork Reform Synagogue

We are a small inclusive congregation meeting spiritual, educational, social and cultural enrichment needs of our members in the Reform Jewish tradition. We embrace families and individuals, Jews by birth or “by choice,” non-Jews and Jews regardless of ethnic or racial background, sexual orientation or gender identity.

We support the local community through outreach programs with special emphasis on social justice issues.

We have no permanent staff, so our members build strong bonds as we work together to enrich our lives and keep our congregation vibrant. Our student rabbis from Hebrew Union College give us fresh perspectives as we learn together.

Drop in for a service or event and experience the exceptional warmth and friendship. You’ll want to return.

On Saturday, August 25th NFRS takes great pleasure in presenting a concert of classical songs, arias and musical favorites featuring Ilana Davidson, our Grammy Award Winning Soprano and Cantor, who will be joined by a renowned pianist Alex Ruvinstein in a Summer Concert. Please meet our new
Cantorial Soloist, Ilana Davidson

ilana headshotWe are thrilled to have recruited such a talented person to be with us for the Holidays.  Her sister, a concert pianist, will be her accompanist.  Ilana is a well-know Soprano as well as a Cantorial Soloist.  She comes from a deep tradition of Jewish Music.  Her father is the esteemed Cantor and Composer Dr. Charles Davidson.  She has sung Jewish music internationally in addition to appearances at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center.

We are blessed to have Ilana with us.

Our Rabbis are students at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion.  Helping to train new Rabbis is an important part of our mission.  We are inspired by the fresh perspective each new student brings to us as we learn from one another.
